The Cyclocross Workout Of The Day for Monday, 10.12.15. “Relax, it’s only Monday”

Howdy folks,

It’s Columbus day. How is that still a thing?

Seriously.

Anyways,

Tired from your weekend race effort?

You just know that these guys are!

I’m betting you are, too.

So take it easy today.

Go for a…

Recovery Spin –

– Get on your bike. Roll out into the street – or into your living room if you’re on the turbo watching the vid – and just spin around for an hour. Or more. Or less. Whatever it takes.

– Really small gear, no hard efforts – heck, no medium effort.

– Spin. You’re looking to move your legs around in circles, almost like there is no chain on the bike.

– The idea is to get your body moving, flush the systems out, and speed your recovery.

– Just get out on the road and spin aimlessly. At a certain point, your legs suddenly feel better.

– As soon as that happens, turn around, go home, eat, stretch, and put your legs up.

Enjoy!

What’s that you say? You’d kinda’ like to have a cycling coach of your very own? Check out…

  1. Columbus Day; how it’s a thing…
The Columbian Exchange resulted in the most significant cultural, technological, and agricultural change in human history. In other words the Americas advanced beyond the Stone Age.

    • Yeah, the 5-15% of the native population that survived the exchange really benefited.

      • Statistical estimates of survival don’t address why Columbus Day is a thing. Let me know when you find those survivors who are living a Pre-Columbian life; or anyone who is living a Stone Age lifestyle. You can then ask them if they’d like to upgrade. Post Columbian – it’s a thing.

  2. So, we can pretty much just take as a given that you didn’t actually watch the vid, right?

  3. Answer the question, it’s a thing, you don’t do.

  4. PS – eagerly await your rousing paen to eugenics as a follow up.
