Week 1 in the books…

Well, week 1 of the ‘Cross season is in the books.

I’m beat; that was a looong week. My build period for cross always winds up becoming a kind of ridiculous trainer-bound 20 minute interval horror fest.

Here’s how it looked:

Mon: 2×20 minute intervals on trainer before work. Work. Jiu-jitsu from 6-8:30

Tues: 1×20, 1×15, 1×10 intervals on trainer. Work. Jiu-jitsu from 6-8:30

Wed: Meeting at work early.  Back home, work on computer for a couple of hours. 2×20 on trainer, pull bike off trainer and ride to gym. Jiu-jitsu 6-8:45

Thurs: 2×20 on trainer. Work

Friday: Trainer, 1×20, 10 seconds full sprint/30  seconds at 280w for 5 minutes. Pull bike off trainer, ride to jiu-Jitsu, roll from 11:30-1:00. Work. Then Barrier work for an hour or so.

Saturday: Ride to Jiu-jitsu. Roll from 11:30 to 1:00. Ride home. Nap. 3 hour road ride on x-bike.

Sunday: Drive to Portland to visit my mom, who’s “In town.” 

That’s a rest day?
